After a while the food arrived..

We started chatting and eating, it helped me forget about the bad news for a while.

The girls started giggling, so I joined them

The girls burst into giggles

I looked at them with a tight smile.

I mean, I love my friends and everything but there’s one thing that I hate about them; they’re ridiculously rich and they love showing it off.

They just can’t get it into their thick heads that not all people are rich like them.

Well, I have to confess..

I’m not as rich as they are but I act as if I am.

I own an expensive car that my dad had to take a loan from the bank to buy.

I buy expensive bags, shoes, and clothes in order to fit in.

And it’s not only me; my mom does it too.

All her friends are rich so she has to put on this absurd act.

This thing I’m not proud of at all.. but I still do it!

So you can only imagine the sufferings that my dad has to go through in order to pay back all the loans and provide for us.

Although I don’t approve of it, I just fear that if I came right out and said that I’m not rich, my friends will ditch me.

Even though I know that my friends are bigger than that, but you never know.

I like to keep my self in the safe side.

They continued harassing the poor girl, and I did nothing but smile.

I was just about to take a bite out of my second slice of pizza when I saw Abdulwahab and two other guys waiting for a table.

He looked at me, flashed me his heart-melting smile and sat down.

I placed my pizza back on the plate and wiped my mouth.

Regretting that tweet, I lowered my head in shame.
