Mit3eb's POV:


Noura mkhar3atny.. faj2a wayeha galab a9faar o mo gadra toogaf 3ala 7aailha!!


Bs sikaat o ga3ed a7awel ahadeeha maby abayyen laha eny ga3ed a7ateeha 3ashan matkhaaf zyada!


Nadatnaa el nurse 3ashan nidkhal 3ala el diktoor.


“Hello,” the doctor greeted.


“Hello,” I said.


“So what is the problem?” he asked.


“I don’t know.. Suddenly I feel really weak.. and I feel sick.. and I have a headache,” Noura struggled while she talked through her tears.


“Its ok don’t cry, I just need to run a couple of tests,” the doctor said in his thick French accent.

Gal enna 7ararat’ha mirtaaf3a o lazim e7i6oolaha drip ni9 sa3a o b3dain nigdar nrid el hotel.

“Mit3eb?” she called. She tried lifting her head up as she looked for me but that caused her pain..


“Kanyy kany,” I said rushing to sit next to her.


Ga3adt 3ala lifrash yaamha o misakt eedha elly feha el ibra.


“Wainik 3abaly ri7t,” she whispered.


“Wain aroo7? Latkhafeen ga3ed 3ala galbich elyoom ana,” I joked.


Her lips slowly stretched into a smile.


She tightened her grip on my hand.


“Shfech?” I asked.


“Chabdyy taglib,” she said wihya m3afsa wayeha.


“Yalla haanat enshalla t9ereen a7san 3ugeb el drip,” I said.


“Enshallaa,” she said.

Thekaart enna kil ma rasy kan y3awerny Noura kanat t7i6 eedha 3ala yabhity tegraa 3alay.. fa ga3adt agra 3alaiha ana o al3ab eb sha3arha lama namat..

Feeny wala feechhh ya Noura..


Faj2a dashat 3alaina el nurse,


“She has to come with me I need to take a blood sample,” she said.


“Why, is there something wrong?” I asked.


“No, its just normal medical procedure,” she said.


“Ok..” I said.


Lafait 3ala Noura o 7awalt aga3edha..


“Noura,” I whispered. “Noura gomay…


She opened her eyes and looked around, obviously scared.


"Khalasna?" She asked.


"Yaboon yis7bon daam," I said.


A terrified look washed over her face.


"Laish?"  She asked.


"Madryy walla... bs awal matkhalseen binrid el findiq enshallah," I said.


"Mabyyy," She moaned.


"Yallaa elnurse ga3da tan6er," I said helping Noura get off the bed.


She dragged her feet to the other room; she sat down on the chair and looked at me with terrified eyes.


"Bamsik eedik," she said.


"Entayy lail7en tkhafeen min el ebra?" I asked.


"Laih bacherr," she said.


Msekat eedy 3ala ma el nurse rbi6at shay 3ala eedha o shway shway ga3da edakhil el ebra..


Fqa9aat eedy o sakerat 3yoonha 7ail


"Kisaartay eedy ya bint," I said.


"T3awerr," she complained.


"Ajer ajer.." I said.


After she finished she stood up and we left the room.



Noura's POV:



Finally, we reached the hotel.


I feel light headed, but I'm so much better el7imdla.


Lamees and Laila barged into our room.


"Haaa shloonich al7eeen?" They asked.


"El7imdla wayedd a7saan," I said.


"Abaih faj2aa e3tefastaayy khara3teenyy," Laila said.


"3An el3ayaraa, walla kan wath3ha 3ady 3ugub ma bla3aat o shba3aat chan tgol waain Noura o Mit3eb shfeehum o gamat etsa2el," Lamees said.


"Hahahaaa 3adyy 3adyy laila aham ma 3alaiha ba6inha," I said.


"Enzain roo7aaw khalaw elbint tirtaa7," Mit3eb said.


"La 3adyy khaal awasi3 9adryy," I said.


"La la el diktoor gal lazim tnaamen," Mit3eb said as he removed the cover from the bed.


He patted the bed, "yalla nooom."


"Et'thayeg el khilg.." Laila said.


"Bni6laa3 3ugub?? Noura t3abreen?" Lamees asked.


"Eeee enshallahh," I said.


"Etha manimtay maku 6al3a," Mit3eb said.


"Waay ok," I said as I got out my pjs.


"3Ayal ana o laila bnroo7 Printemps o Lafayette 3ala ma tray7 Noura," Lamees said.


"Okk baina o bainkum telephone," Mit3eb said.


I climbed on the bed and pulled up the cover.


Mit3eb turned off the lights and lamps and closed the curtains.


He turned on the lamp on his side of the bed, sat down next to me and crossed his hands on his chest, "yalla namay."


"Magdar anam wenta mjabilnyy chthyyy," I said.


He turned to the right, "ajablich chthy a7san?"


"Ha ha maleeq," I said with a smile.


"Afaaa2," he said.


"Faj2a 6arat enooma," I said.


"Uff kint bagi6 ga6a maleeqa bs rabich sitar," he said.


"Haha el7imdlaa," I said.


I placed my head on his lap, "egra 3alay nafs lama kina bl mostashfa ymkin adookh o anam."


"Kilshay bi7saba," he said.


"Afaaa," I said.


"Ee lazim kilshayy asawy a7a9il min wara floos," he said.


"Mashalla 3alaaik 7ata 3ala murtik?" I asked.


"Ooo entay akthaar wa7da arbaa7 min waraha a9lan," he said.


"Yabakhty feek," I said sarcastically.


"6ab3aan," he said.


"Khalaaas 3ayal maby minik shayy," I said as I removed my head from his lap.


"Hahaha ta3alay bs ta3alaay," he said as he slowly brought my head back to his lap.


He started murmuring and I slowly drifted off to sleep.

I woke up the next morning at 9. I was feeling light headed, and I still felt a little sick.

Ri7t ghurfat el banat wela kilhum ga3deen barra bil balcony ga3deeen yitrayigoon..


“9abaa7 elkhaiir,” Lamees said when she saw me.


“9aba7 el noor,” I said.


“Eljaw shway barid libsayy jacket,” Mit3eb said.


“3adyy zain el jaww,” I said.


“La Noura akhaf edishich hawa o tistamrithaain,” he said.


“Ka ana 3endy jacket 3ala el qanafa,” Laila said as she went inside to get it for me.


“Mashkoora,” I said.


“Shirbayy shay dafyy,” Mit3eb said.


Abaaih shfeee:::


“Ok aby gahwaa please,” I said.


Mit3eb poured me coffee with milk and handed me a plate of pastries.


“Eklaay 3adel ams makalaitay shay,” he said.


“Hmmm mo mshtahya walla,” I said.


Madry shfeeeny 9ayra ma ashtihy akil mu min 3awaydy  el9ara7aa..


“Ee entay 7awlay takleen o ra7 tishtiheen,” he said.


I stared at the plate in front of me, and I can feel Mit3eb staring at me waiting for me to start eating.


“Tabeen ayeeblich shay mu3ayyan, entay amray,” he said.


“Tara 9ayer 6ayeb el yoom eghtanmay el fur9a,” Laila said.


“Haha laa matga9er,” I said.


Faj2a faj2aaa shtahaait cookies.. mayhimnyy min wain bs aby cookies al7een al7eeen!!!!


It was a strong craving; I’ve never craved anything that much before.


“Aby cookies,” I blurted out.


“Eklaay reyoog san3 shnu cookies,” Mit3eb said.


“Laa aby cookies al7eeeen,” I said.


“Min9ijiich?” he asked.


“Eee walla,” I said.


“Ok eklay al7een o laih 6ala3na ashterelech 60 cookie, bs eklay al7een,” he said.


“Okk okk,” I said.


I started eating… I forgot how good pastries tasted here!!


Mit3eb’s phone rang so he went into the room to answer it, while Laila, Lamees and I continued eating.


“Shnu khi6atkum el yoom?” Laila asked.


“Shloon el soog?” I asked.


“Eyaaanin wayed ashya shift’hum o gilt baridlhum 3ugub,” Laila said.


“9iij ashwaa 3ayal khanroo7 elyoom,” I said.


“Eee ok,--


“Noura,” Mit3eb called.


He stood in the doorway with a huge grin on his face; it was so big I had to smile when I saw him.


“Halaa?” I asked.


He started chuckling and grinning even wider, “Noura, entay 7amil!!”
