"Ahh 3ayal ana shagool?" I said.

"Allah y3eenich chanich et9ab7een wetmaseen 3ala hal ashkaal!" she said.

"Ee walla, el7imdla 3ala kil 7aaal!" I said.

"Ee wani3ma billaah! enzain goleely shsaar 3ala Msa3ad?" she asked.

I was sitting in my office going through some paper work. I had double the amount of work since Nawal was traveling 3ashan ejahiz 7ag el milcha wl 3rs. I soo wanted to accompany her bs magdar akhith ejaza. :'(

Someone knocked on my door.

"Tefathal," I said copying Msa3ad's famous sentence.

The door opened, and Msa3ad's head peaked in.

"Mashghola?" he asked.

Its the first time I see him since he confessed his love to me. My cheeks flushed.

"Uh laa," I said.

He came in, closed the door, and sat down on the chair in front of my desk.

"Madawamtay ams?" he asked.

"Ee um kint t3bana.." Ok I lied, bs shagool y3ny kint msta7ya minik? Mo 3adla.

"Ee matshofen shar enshallah, shlonich al7een?" he asked.

"Eshar mayyeek, el7mdla a7san!" I said looking at my hands.

"Uhh, mawidy a7in wallah bs fakrtayy bl kalam elly glta lich thak elyoom?" he asked.

"Eee fakkart," I said.

I spent the last 2 days thinking about Msa3ad and the conclusion I have reached is that he's truly a gentleman. I mean he could've taken advantage of me and played with my feelings in all the wrong ways, but he didn't. He came right up to me in all seriousness and asked if he can marry me. Y3ny walla eshawig :')

"O bashrayy, 3asaa khabar esir?" he asked.

I smiled and my face became red. Y3ny mara7 agool ee ta3al ekh6bnyy fashla! Atmana yifhamha wihya 6ayraa!!

"Ya 7ilo hal ebtesama, y3ny afham ennich emwafqa?" he grinned.

"Elly allah katba be9eer," I said looking at my lap.

Latshoofon sh9ar feenyy wayhyy galab alwaaan o yallaah at7acha o a7s 9aar 7aar shda3waa kil hal 7aya ya Monya.

"Enshallahh, walla mat9adgeen shkithir ana mistanis," he said grinning.

His smile. <3

"3asaa doom," I said in a mere whisper.

"Yalla 3ayal akhaleech, ashoofich 3an qareeb enshallah," he said before he left.

Allah ysakhra lyy, yaraab! Its funny how everything falls in place at the end. For a moment in life, I actually thought I'd end up with Zaid. I even WANTED it. I prayed for it, and begged but God has his way of planning things out. He see's the good in people and grants them good things accordingly. So lesson learned, if you wanted something so bad but didnt get it, its ok. Smile, move on, and believe that you will get something so much better when the right time comes.

I giggled. "Khabar 7iluu 3ugub 9admat Zaid o Lulu."

"Haha walla hal athnain mal ytzawijoon o eyaninoon ba3ath ebro7hum," she said.

"Hahaha ee wallahh!!" I said.

"Ee o sh9aaar 3ugub?" she asked.

A couple of weeks passed and everything was the same.

9ali7 and Nawal finally got married and travelled on their honeymoon. Lulu kept visiting and dropping by every chance she got, even when I wasn't home! My dad was slowly changing into a person I no longer recognized. He grew careless, he's always out somewhere, and his attitude is just not the same. I'm still shocked and I'm lying to myself by trying to believe that I'm making a big deal out of it. Even when I confronted my brothers about my dad's recent behavior, they too, thought that it was odd.

Oh well, Msa3ad was on my mind, too.

He called me to his office the other day.

"Ha shloon murty?" he asked.

"Tizawajt?" I asked with wide eyes.

He burst out in laughter. "Shhal su2aal???? aq9idich entayyy latsaween nafsich matadreeen."

Dont blame me, I barely slept the night before and it was 8:30 in the morning. Its a miracle I'm still standing.

"Hahah tawny astaw3b," I said.

Now that its slowly sinking in, I started blushing.

"6aaa3 wayiha 9aar a7mar! 3asa kil makalatich ebtst7een??" he said.

"Haha yaraby ta7rjny shasawy ya3ny?" I asked.

"Laa lazim eta3awidain! O b3dain latstansain wayed hal kalam bs awal el ayyam o ba3dain awareech el3ain el 7amra," he said.

"Mashalla 3alaaaik et9adig I cant wait till we get married!!!!" I said sarcastically.

"Haha, enzain 3ala 6ary elzawaj, mta akalim ubooch? ya bint el7alaal magdar an6ir akthar min chthy!" he said.

He wants to talk to my father about us and I keep postponing. My dad's behavior is bizzare and I just want him to go back to his normal self again. I wanted to wait till 9ali7's back so Msa3ad meets both of them and not just my dad alone.

"Madry Msa3ad ban6r lama 9ali7 eriid min esufar enshallah," I said.

"Ullaaaa o ana shaku eb 9ali7, bakalim ubooch," he said.

"Adryy bs aby 9ali7 ekon mawjood pls Msa3ad!" I said.

"Ok khalaa9," he said.

"Laiiiish tan6reeen ba3aad???" dr manar asked.

"Uboyyy, walla kint khayfa min uboyy gilt etha 9ali7 kan mawjood uhwa y3arf yt9arraf!" I said.

"Enzain ana mu fahma sh9ar eb ubooch? shily ghayira?" she asked.

"Aaaakhh ya galbyy!! Uboyy salfeta salfaa!" I said.

"Laiish ba3aad sh9ayer???" She asked.

Even after everything that happened to me, Im still not able to believe what he did. Tell me anything and I'd beleive it! I'd even believe it if you told me that Zaid became a "Shaikh deen". However, what actually happened right under my nose and I didn't even realize it? Its killing me.

One afternoon, aahh when will I ever forget, I was sitting in the living room talking to 9ali7 on the phone. My life till that moment was almost perfect and I had a small feeling that something will happen to ruin it.

Msa3ad and I were like lovebirds. He tells me the nicest words, and never fails to make my day. I was so excited for 9ali7's return which was in a week, so Msa3ad can talk to my dad.

I had just ended the conversation, and went back to watching a movie on TV. I was grinning from ear to ear enjoying my free time.

I heard the door open and noise afterwards. I turned around and my heart almost stopped working. Correction, it stopped and magically worked again.

My eyes were wide open, and their faces were a mixture of shock and excitement. Everything went quiet, except for the ringing in my ear.

Even though they didnt say anything, but what Im seeing in front of me speaks a thousand words.

My heart was beating so fast it almost ran out of my chest. The big fat tears slowly poured down my cheeks.

"Monya, ana o Lulu tizawajna," My father announced holding her hand.
